Braking issue

Driving my F on the back roads at high speed, crested a hill and then saw the road I needed to turn on. Hit the brakes fairly aggressively and the car pulled off to the right. Sort of like the right rear wheel got all the brake action and rotated the entire car. Anyone experienced anything like this? Scared the crap out of me.

You might have just hit the brakes too hard throwing all the weight to that side,

Will find out this weekend. Am going on a drive with some gear head buddies in the same region. I will report my findings either way.

did you brake before or during the turn?

Yea seriously before or during the turn, even if you hit a small bump under hard braking it will veer the car off. Its also possible you shocked it into a slide but i find that unlikely considering ABS. Did you shut off TC or Stability on the F-Type? even if you started braking hard before the turn but then tried to turn in under braking it would fling the car right, any movement is exaggerated under braking. Be careful, thats all..

If you keep the traction on it should correct for you.

But braking hard in a high speed turn will always cause the car to act weird.

Well for sure I had full TC on, no way I'm driving this thing on public roads without it. I do recall that the road was relatively high crown so that may have been a factor, but this was on straight road so no curves influencing anything, and I repeated this result on adjacent roads. I have not done another test, but I was out in the same area last weekend and had need to get on the brakes pretty hard at one point and the car seemed to behave. I will get it out eventually and give it another speed run with hard braking at the end and see what happens. Will report results.

Hm. Could have just been the road. If you can replicate it. Show it to the dealer. Could be possible there is an issue with the braking system if you are just going straight and braking and it pulls.

This is because of pressing of brakes with force. That is why your vehicle turned towards right. Few days back I was driving my BMW in a plain road without any traffic. My speed was around 140, suddenly in front one small boy in between 3 years appear and I get confused that what should I do. With me my friend was sitting, he applied the brakes and the vehicle moved completely towards right and with much difficulty the boy was saved.
